The Use of Video with Young People
The Use of Video with Young People.

 On-line Reflective Task and Questionnaire

We are looking into the use of video with young people (that is people aged up to 25 years of age) in a range of projects, from research to community development. We are interested in the different approaches to using video people are adopting in their work with young people.

In the first stage of the research we are using two techniques to gather your experiences.

The first is a questionnaire survey, you may have come to this page via the link at the bottom of the questionnaire. If you wish to complete the questionnaire you can click here to complete it.

The second technique we have called the 'On-line Reflective Task'. This on-line task is based on short video clips from projects we have carried out. The clips cover six key areas within a project and in each one you will hear us discussing a methodological issue we have encountered and how we tried to deal with it in our own work.

The On-Line Reflective Task
Below are links to short 5 minute videos in six areas of project work. First we would like you to choose an area where you have faced problems within your work with video and young people. Next click on the image and you will see a clip and will hear us discussing a similar issue. You can watch more than one of these videos just by clicking on the button, Back to video clips . Once you have found a video which makes you think about an issue you have faced please fill in the Complete your journal section below the video
